Petition for Comeback of Katie Fey Style Sets ...

I am curious how many of you agree with me ... even though the Met Art Sets are obviously beautiful photographs they lack every connection to the real world. What made Katie so attractive to all of us were actually the Katie Fey sets where she showed herself in private surroundings, in "normal" clothes, without edited background, still super sexy and in a girl next door-way where nobody could resist. All in all, by now the pictures are nice but you cannot anymore relate to a person we would love to meet around the corner ... seeing Katie nude is nice but what we loved was seeing the blink in her eyes, taking her off while being in normal, day to day envirounments ...

if anyone of you agrees, please join in and let's try to convince her to do a comeback of normal-day2day sets in private places of her life ... Please do not get me wrong. It's not about bringing her back to do something with any of the old photographers but about getting back her amazing natural beauty in a way that attracts all of us much more since we can simply relate to it much more and since we just love it 100times more if she opens a normal blouse in front of her desk at home than some overstyled model pictures in a digital studio ...
anyone agrees? can we make an effort to send this message out to her?

While I'm not sure that I agree that there is some kind of lost relationship between the viewer and Jenya as the model in her 'newer' photos with MetArt, I do believe that many of her sets as Katie Fey offer us what seems to be a more private glimpse into her personal life as opposed to viewing an obviously professional photo shoot of a model performing before the camera. There is something more natural or less contrived about many of those 'Katie' galleries The example below offers an erotic but somehow innocent peek into the life of this beauty. Whether there is direction from the photographer or not, it appears quite unstaged and natural. Additionally, the setting is not the least bit artificial and lends itself to the 'story' we are free to create in our own minds. I do miss the simplicity of many of those 'Katie Fey' galleries.

I so agree. Maybe I was not putting it the right way but I meant exactly what you describe. Wouldn't it be great if hundreds of others joined in and we could convince her to - from time to time - get back to this "simplicity" of the old Katie Fey sets.

I hope with joints efforts we can make this happen!

I mostly disagree... Sure, MetArt sets and Katie Fey sets are very different in style, but we should not fool ourselves that Katie Fey sets allow us to "peek into the life of this beauty" (as Jeff says).  Producing sets is a business for our Godess, but the sets do not reflect her life.  They show an artifical life, and in this sense both styles are "art".  And now it becomes a matter of taste, and my personal taste is that the MetArt sets are of "better art" than Katie Fey.

Just my two cents...

Sure Alex. The photo quality of the MetArt sets is definitely superior to that of the Katie Fey sets. As I've stated a few times in the past, those by Alesha (all offering interesting stories) are my absolute favorites. What seems to be missing however, from a few of the MetArt shoots, is that unique "feel" that was created by Jenya and the photographer (whether from Katie Fey or MetArt) that we are indeed getting a "peek into her life".

Of course, that isn't really happening. It is, as you say, a business. They are creating an emotion thru that image. That is my point - exactly. Their creativity, as photographers, has composed that sentiment or emotional connection to Jenya. Something that is more than just a pose on her part. They put her in a setting and a situation that helps to tell a story or in fact helps us to tell our own story about the photos.

We need more of  that creativity, from the photographer, in telling a story. They are privileged to photograph the most expressive model in the world. They should respect her more than to simply place her in front of a yellow, red, green or pink background and expect her to make up for their lack of creativity. Jenya looks spectacular in ANY setting. It's just more fun if there is a perceived story surrounding those photos.

Now I got your point, Jeff :-)  And I fully agree: Jenya has a bunch of sets that pass emotions, and some sets of the past don't do that (but there are exceptions, like Elasian). So, I join the petition :-D

And I explicitly emphasize that I share your position that Jenya looks spectacular in ANY set!
